Linux Foundation Launches Two New Certification Programs

The new certification exams, LFCE and LFCS will help employers find right Linux talent.
Friday, August 22, 2014 There is a huge demand for Linux system admins and Linux programmers in IT industry. There are plenty of expert Linux programmers working on BASH shell and GCC, looking for jobs. But, most of them fail to meet the criteria of human resources. Human resources do not offer jobs without certifications and degrees in India. Considering these needs, after long discussions at LinuxCon, The Linux Foundation has come up with a new Linux Foundation Certification Program for fresher engineering graduates and system administrators.

* Virtual, available anytime, anywhere in the world: Anyone from any part of the world can take these exams online with the help of microphone and a webcam on personal computer. The tests are designed very on a very secure platform.

* Performance-based exams: Candidates will be tested on basis of their ability to solve real programming problems on their command line, this is way more effective exam methodology as compared to theory or multiple choice questions (MCQs)

* Distribution-flexible: Candidates can take their tests from only three Linux distributions. They can use openSUSE, Ubuntu or CentOS to take exam.

These tests are designed and also tested at Linux Foundation house. The developers and system administrators at Linux foundation tested these tests by themselves before releasing them.
