Monday, November 10, 2014: A bang-on success story has started for an Indian youngster as he starts his career with Google with a Rs 14 million salary/annum. The youngster is a 21-year-old BITS Pilani student, named Krunal Kishorbhai Patel and Google has appointed him at their headquarters at Mountain View, California. The offer came from his campus placement and Patel will join the company as a software engineer from next October.

Patel is doing his BE (honours) in computer science and MSc (honours) in mathematics and he was simply overwhelmed with the offer. Google conducted APAC test for students who will be graduating in 2015 across the Asia Pacific region and Patel stood second in India, while eighth in the whole region. Patel belongs to Rajkot, Gujarat and he had his schooling from Atmiya.
As Patel said he was not very knowledgeable about the campus placement offers and criteria. He was basically focused on his studies and was always learning something new in his field, computer science and mathematics. He had high grades in his college too as his CGPA rate stood around 9.4 and he also cleared GATE 2014 and stood tenth in computer science across India. |
