possibilities in the world.

1. Commercial Plane Hacks:
It's possible that
satellite communication equipment can be hacked on passenger jets
through Wi-Fi systems. In this way avionics equipment can be easily
hacked and satellite communications can also be disrupted, which will
have a direct impact on navigation and safety systems.
2. Smart TVs:
If
your smart TV allows you to do social networking, then the apps can
also allow hackers spy on you, the set's owner directly. These
televisions have minimum level of security measures which may leave you
highly vulnerable in front of hackers.
3. Medical Equipment:
Medical
equipment which get implanted on your body like an insulin pump or a
pacemaker may land you in the middle of hacking threats due to the
wireless functions going on inside the machines.
4. Appliances:
In
2012, German researchers used smart electric meters to access
information about residents' personal daily data which proves smart
devices or appliances at our house leave us vulnerable to hackers.
5. Power Plants:
In
2013 a research report released that vulnerabilities are also present
in power plants across the U.S. and Canada. These vulnerabilities keep
us open to hacking possibilities and if this hack happens then all the
servers which control power plants, electronic substations and water
utilities, will be hijacked all throughout.
6. Vehicles:
Modern
cars which have electronic control units are quite vulnerable to hacks
as any outsider can unlock the car after hacking these devices and then
just sends a text and starts the vehicle, leaving you completely
clueless thereafter.
7. Drones:
In 2011 An
American drone was crashed by Iranian military as false GPS signals were
delivered. Reports and claims by the U.S. military says that the
crash-landing was caused by a routine malfunction but experts revealed
that the drone was a victim of one of the scariest hacks in the world.
8. Voicemails:
In
July 2011, a phone hacking scandal rocked the world as British tabloid
News of the World was shut down following the incident. Then revelations
came around that the news company used to hack phones of celebrities
and others and also used to gain access to their voicemails. Voicemail
hacks are obviously one of the scariest ones ever in this world.
9. ATMs:
Bank
of Montreal ATMs were hacked by two Canadian school-going boys in June
2014 which alarmed banks to enhance their security measures. Weak
passwords, configuration issues and other basic security flaws leave
ATMs vulnerable to hacks.
10. Photos:
This is the
latest biggest example of hacking when Hollywood celebrities' nude
pictures were posted online in August. These photos were stolen from
iCloud like back-up services. More than 100 names were present on the
hacker's list and this incident also sparked an FBI inquiry. |
