The Name Of Next Version Of Android Could Be 'LMS'

A leaked information suggests that the name of next version of Android could be Android LMS (Lemon Meringue Pie).      Google introduced the next version Android in last month at Google I/O 2014. Google didn’t reveal the name of this version at the launch event. They just called it as Android L. Google didn't reveal the information about the full form of ‘L’. People are guessing the full form ever since. After a lot of research and digging of information, the popular Android news forum- Android Police managed to test and study multiple official source codes and documents of next version Android. Some codes in the document and source code suggest that the next version of Android is called as LMP, which could be Lemon Meringue Pie. Android Police got this valuable information with the help of one of its reader, Yuku Sugianto. According to reports, Android Police got the hands on the Android SDK and WiFi certification for the upcoming HTC tablet that is supposed to come with the upcoming version of Android. The codes suggest that the internal name for upcoming Android would be LMP. In Android Open Source Project repository, you can get 9 results. One repository also has “LMP” as heading. Google may tie up with some brand to name its latest Android version, like it did with Android 4.4 KitKat. The internal name of Android 4.4 was KLP, so people considered that it would be Key Lime Pie. But, Google announced it as KitKat. A group of students from IIT Kharagpur are lobbying Android chief, Sundar Pichai to name the Android L as Android Lassi. People around the world are guessing the full form of Android L as lemonhead, lollypop etc. Indians are expecting some desi name such as Laddu or Ladoo.
